Quards app for iPhone and iPad

Quards was built for the iPad, with 3 goals:

1) Flexible Flashcards
Quards are hand drawn. Easily create diagrams, equations, mnemonics, multiple choice questions, intricate layouts, sheet music, or just plain text. Quards are spacious, and (inspired by every drawing app out there) has two layers instead of the usual front and back of a flashcard – and its way better!

2) Something better than a folder structure
When you start making flashcards, you quickly have many. Organised into folders (or worse: courses and chapters), this becomes a mess.
What we replaced it with is something like a mind-map, a knowledge universe! It comes with powerful interactions that make navigating from planet (folder) to planet (folder) visual, easy and fun.

3) Spaced Repetition, but adjusted for your life.
When you have many flashcards, it becomes difficult to organise which to review and when. Naturally, we want to do that for you.

Over time you forget. When you see something more often, you forget more slowly (you learn). How quickly you forget depends on many things, most of which are not measurable to app developers like us. And more importantly, theres no point in scheduling reviews if you dont actually do them.

So we built a slider with which you can regulate the overall number of reviews, along with a calendar/heatmap that immediately shows you the effect of what you just did.
Spending too much time reviewing? Drag the slider to the left. Too little? Drag it to the right.


Quards offers a new, integrated approach at studying. Write notes with the goal of testing yourself on them later, and focus your efforts exactly where they are needed.
